Fashion On The Go: Navy is the New Black
The word around town is that Navy is the new Black, and I’d have to agree! Years ago when you’d think of Navy, you would imagine drab, frumpy, or stuffy clothing.
But now, it has definitely been upgraded to a staple color, at least in my closet. Navy isn’t as dark as black, but it still holds that same prowess.Navy goes with everything, oh the combinations! I just bought a dress that is khaki and neon orange geometric print with an amazing navy belt! Along with another dress that is Navy and Bright Green Striped paired with a rich tan belt.
Pictured above was a quick outfit I put together as I was running late for work. The Navy Polka dot ruffle top is so feminine, paired with a curve skimming Navy pencil skirt. To play on the femininity I added pastel pink patent peep toes, pastel pink floral post earrings and a smokey gray watch. If you haven’t already, cheat on your closet full of black, with the newer, hotter, NAVY!
