For those of you who have slept on Solange over the past couple of years, Wake the hell up! While you were busy sleeping, she was busy WORKING. This past year Solange became the face of Rimmel London and just in February, Solange kicked up her writing game and became VOGUE.com’s Today I’m Wearing guest blogger sharing a photograph of her outfits daily for one month.
Two snaps to Solange for rocking her natural coils! As a woman you know that anything outside of the norm takes serious confidence regarding our hair. Not only is she beautiful; her style is fierce and so refreshing. I absolutely love how she is not afraid to play with pieces and length. Solange has definitely encouraged me to add some length in the future for a bit of flair. Her recent photo showcasing straight hair (sans relaxer) has set the blog sphere on fire. Showcasing how versatile natural hair IS! Trust and believe us kinky coily girls can switch it up and still look amazing.
If this journey has taught me nothing else- I have learned firsthand that I define my own notion of beauty and as long as I believe and feel that I am beautiful, no celebrity, current beauty trend, blog or perceived state of mind WILL EVER strip me from the TRUTH that I carry within- I am beautiful, I am confident and I am Fierce, Natural Hair and all!
